Reilly passes over education board baton to McElhinney

Louth councillor Liam Reilly has ended his term as chairman of the Louth Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB) and handed over the chain of office to the new chairperson, Tracey McElhinney.

Cllr Reilly was the first chairman of the board which was set up following the amalgamation of Co Louth VEC and Co Meath VEC.

Ms McElhinney is a Ballivor native and has been a member of LMETB since its establishment in 2013 and previously a Meath VEC member.

She paid tribute to the outgoing chairperson Liam Reilly and said that she looked forward to working with the CEO Mr Peter Kierans and all the staff and students in the 15 schools in LMETB.

The CEO of LMETB and her colleagues welcomed her appointment as chairperson and wished her well.
