O'Callaghan invited to palace

Dundalk poet Conor O'Callaghan has been invited to tea at Buckingham Palace ahead of the state visit by President Michael D Higgins to England next month.
Conor, who lives in Manchester, is among members of the Irish community who have received invitations to attend Buckingham Palace next Tuesday, March 24, which precedes the first ever state visit by an Irish president to England.
Originally from the Carrick Road, Conor works as a senior lecturer in Sheffield Hallum University and as a tutor on distance learning MA at Lancaster University, having previously taught in Villa Nova and Wake Forest Universities in the United States.
His most recent poetry collection 'The Sun King' is published by Gallery Press in Ireland and Wake Forest Press in the United Press.
