MYSTERY STILL surrounds the purchaser of the winning ticket of last Saturday night's jackpot which was bought in Carrolls Newsagents an Book Shop in the Longwalk Shopping Centre.

The person who purchased the €4 Quickpick seletion, with Lotto Plus, on Friday, is now €3,595,140 richer after the numbers were drawn in Saturday night's draw.

So far no one has come forward to claim their prize and staff in the shop are wondering who the lucky customer was.

'We have no idea who won it but we were told that it was sold on Friday,' says Sinead McCreesh, a manager in the shop.

'Friday is one of our busiest days and we get a lot of regular customers.

' The community buses come in on Fridays bringing a lot of people into town as well.'

She confirmed that there was 'great excitement' when staff were notified that they had sold the winning ticket. 'It was like we won the Lotto ourselves!'

Sinead confirmed that this was the biggest win for shop although they did sell a Lotto Plus One winner a couple of years ago.

Earlier this year, a ticket sold in Mace, Carrick Road, won €2million for a Louth couple who wished to remain anonymous.

Every winner has ninety days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.
