I'm ready to fight

Amy Broadhurst, who is off to the world junior boxing championships.

MUIRHEVNAMOR'S golden girl Amy Broadhurst travels to Bulgaria tomorrow to fight for a medal at the world junior boxing championships.

Ahead of travelling to the Irish training camp in Dublin on Saturday, Amy spoke to the Argus about her dreams, her achievements so far and the self-imposed tough training schedule, which, she says, has helped ensure that she's in top condition.

The 16-year-old Dealgan club member is hoping to add a world championship medal to her European title and emulate her hero, Katie Taylor. Amy's coach and dad Tony will travel to Bulgaria along with mum Shiela and brother Stephen.
