Gardaí seize €8,800 worth of cocaine

DUNDALK GARDAI intercepted almost €9,000 worth of cocaine during a joint operation with Customs officials at Tom Bellew Avenue on Monday.
As part of an intelligence-led, joint operation, 126 grammes of cocaine with an estimated street value of €8,800 was seized at an address at Tom Bellew Avenue as a result of a controlled delivery of a package originating in Brazil. A 47-year-old Nigerian male was arrested and was yesterday being held at Dundalk Garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
