Dundalk in line for better broadband

EIRCOM HAS announced that Dundalk will be included in Phase IV of the rollout of its fibre broadband network.
Following the completion of Phase IV, more than 700,000 homes and businesses will be able to avail of fibre broadband services with speeds of up to 70Mb per second.
Two locations in Louth have now been announced in eircom's fibre broadband plan as Drogheda was announced in Phase II. The Phase IV rollout will expand the network, bringing eircom's fibre broadband service to all 26 counties of Ireland. Work will commence in Spring 2013 with the aim to complete the construction phase by the end of 2013, when more than 700,000 businesses and residential customers will be able to access fibre powered broadband from eircom.
