Donal Lunny to appear at final show of Carlingford summer concert series

ZOE Conway and John McIntyre are joined by one of the biggest names in Irish music for the last concert in their series with invited guests in the Carlingford Heritage Centre this coming Sunday at 4 p.m.
Donal Lunny has been one of the most influential musicians in Ireland for over four decades, lining out with bands including Planxty, The Bothy Band and Moving Hearts.
The guitarist and bouzouki player has collaborated with a who's who of Irish music such as Matt Molloy, Andy Irvine, Christy Moore, Liam O Flynn, Bill Whelan, Sharon Shannon and Davy Spillane.
He was largely responsible for introducting the bouzouki into traditional Irish music and has remained at the forefront of musical innovation and is highly regarded as a producer as well as a musician.
The following week, Zoe and John are coming back to perform an extra concert in aid of MS Ireland with Cor Chairlinne choir. This concert will take place Carlingford Heritage Centre from 4 to 5 p.m.
