DUNDALK teenager Andrea Browne was thrilled to receive a Twitter message from her idol, US rapper Nicky Minaj, after the star's Dublin show last week.
Andrea, from Kilcurry, was at the Nicky Minaj concert at the O2 on Monday night, after which she tweeted the star how much she had enjoyed the peformance.
'It was a really great concert, so I sent her a tweet saying I couldn't wait to see her back in Dublin again. I couldn't believe it when I got one straight back from her!.'
The American singer and rapper tweeted back how much she enjoyed the gig, telling Andrea 'I gotta say you guys were amazing.'
'I was thrilled, because I'm sure she gets so many tweets. She has millions of followers on twitter, and the concert was sold out that night, so I've made sure to keep the tweet saved!'
The Dun Lughaidh fifth year student has been a long-time fan of Nicky Minaj, following her career for many years.
'She is really talented, having started out as a rapper, and then making the transition to pop star.'
Minaj, who is managed by rapper Lil Wayne; has developed a cult following in Ireland with major hit singles 'Starships' and 'SuperBass.'
'I like her because she is really different from all of the other acts out at the moment. She's an amazing singer, and her music is really good,' said Andrea.
'I'll definitely be back for her next concert, she is fantastic live, and I was delighted to get the tweet.'
