LITTLE ALEX Meehan from Blackrock is looking forward to his spot in the limelight when he appears on The Late Late Toy Show on Friday night.
The five year old will be demonstrating a toy John Deere tractor and his father Stanley laughs that 'Ryan Tubridy had better watch out or he'll run over him!'
The Gael Scoil pupil was invited to be one of 190 children taking part in Toy Show which attracts huge audiences each year after parents Stanley and Sharon sent a DVD recording of him driving a toy tractor to RTE. ' We had to bring him up to the RTE studios and he was auditioned to see how he would re-act in a room away from us,' says Stanley.
Alex was also asked to pick a toy to demonstrate and selected a John Deere tractor.
'He's really excited about going on the show and asks every morning how many days are left,' says Stanley.
The whole family are looking forward to seeing Alex in front the cameras although unfortunately there won't be tickets in the audience for his parents and big sister Saoirse.
'We'll be in the studios but unfortunately with so many children taking part, they couldn't give audience tickets to the parents.'
