Age Action computer classes for over 55s

AGE Action Ireland is offering free computer classes for the over 55s in Dundalk Institute of Technology.

The courses are ideal for those who want to learn how to use a computer and do everyday tasks online. Participants will find out how to write letters, share photographs, watch videos or television, how to set up email accounts, use Skype, or even Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends at home and abroad.

Those interested in the course should go along to DkIT on Thursday, October 17, at 7 p.m. to meet their tutor. The course runs for two hours a week over five weeks with one to one training. For further information contact Ann Egan at 9321699.

Independent.ie Comments Facility

INM has taken the decision to remove the commenting facility on its online platform Independent.ie to minimise the legal risk to our business that arises from Ireland's draconian libel awards system.

We continue to look forward to receiving comments through direct email contact or via social media, some of which may still be featured on the website Independent.ie
