Afternoon treat in store at Anaverna

An afternoon of delightful music is promised at Anaverna on Sunday, March 23, when violinist Gina Maria McGuinness joins pianist Dimitri Padadimintriou for a concert which is bound to please.
From an early age Gina appeared with the Young European Strings Chamber Orchestra both as soloist and leader. She has played frequently at The West Cork Chamber Music Festival and has recently completed a Masters Degree in Lausanne. Gina is based in Switzerland where she enjoys a thriving career as a young concert violinist.
Praised for his artistry, commitment and passion for music, Greek pianist Dimitri Papadimitriou has recently been awarded the title 'Doctor of Music Performance' from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where he studied under John O'Conor. Dimitri has appeared with the Greek National Radio Symphony Orchestra and has just made his debut with the Athens State Orchestra. He now lives in Pittsburgh doing post doctoral studies and furthering his career as a concert pianist.
They will play pieces by Brahams and Strauss as well as De Falla's Spanish Folk Songs Suite.
The concert, which gets underway at 3pm, will be preceded by lunch cooked using local produce from the garden or the wild, for those who book it.
