AFTER a busy summer running music, arts and drama events for teenagers, Dundalk Youth Centre is preparing a programme for the coming months, including events, new courses and workshops.
Through provision of a Youth Café, youth Arts programmes and Youth Counselling service young people have a place of their own to learn and develop their talents. The Youth Cafe is open every evening after school from half 3 to 6.
A four week painting and collage workshop got underway this Tuesday September 17th.
The centre, which is a registered charity, is offering Sibling Support Programme in co-operation with The National Family Support Network. This programme is designed to work with siblings living with drug using brothers and sisters.
Fund raising events planned include a fun cycle from Carlingford to Dundalk on September 29th, a table quiz in October, a night at Dundalk Stadium in November and a Christmas draw to finish up the year.
The centre is also looking for artists and programme facilitators who would like to volunteer.
