IF YOU'RE old enough to remember The Frank and Walters and you've a penchant for nostalgia, then O'Connell's on the Quay is the place to be on Friday, February 1, when the Cork combo are set to headline.
This is a real coup for the Newday boys who are now comfortably settled into their new venue.
Nostalgia will see them play tunes from their back catalogue (1990) onwards, but you won't get as an exciting live band anywhere round town in the next couple of months.
From their ' Trains, Boats and Planes' back in 1992, through ' The Grand Parade' in 1997, they have been to the forefront of indie rock/pop through at least two decades.
Influential Irish icons they are already, but it is their live set that sets them apart from all the competitors, this is a 'Hidden Gem' of a night for Paudie and Louis the Newday Mainmen and one not to be missed, at any cost!
There will be an exceptional undercard as always.
