The funds were raised by the two teams that organised the annual charity soccer match in memory of Liam Cunningham - a late employee of An Post.

The Liam Cunningham Cup match is held every year between the two teams and was won this year by An Post. Brendan Scollon (H. J. Heinz) and Paul Smartt (An Post) along with the team players helped organise this successful event.
