Lumpers to hold charity hill walk

The Lumpers Hillwalking and Social Club are organising a charity hill walk on the May bank holiday weekend as part of The Gathering.

The event will take place on Sunday May 5th with three graded walks to suit everyone.

All walks start and finish at the Lumpers.

Proceeds will go to three charities, Cystic Fibrosis, North Louth Hospice and Crumlin Hospital for Sick Children.

The grade A walk is a 14km. loop going to Clermont Cairn{mast] taking in Cairnawaddy and Lis na Chiggal and should take 4 to 4 and a half hours to complete.

The grade B walk is a 11km. loop going to Cairnawaddy and Lis na Chiggal which should be completed in 3 to 3 and a half hours.

The grade C walk is a loop up. 8km loop up to Round mountain taking in 'The castles' on the way and takes 2 to 2 and a half hours.

There is a charge of 10 euro per person payable on registration.

Children with adults only.

There will be a BBQ , Bouncy Castle, Live Folk and Traditional music on the day.

Parking showers and toilets all available on site and camping fascilities are also available on request.

Participants should wear proper clothing and footwear to suit weather conditions and walking boots are essential.

Walkers meet at The Lumpers at 10.30am.
