OUR LAST port of call on Saturday night was to Upper Parkes where a special 21st birthday party was taking place for Jason Moore from Toberona and there to make sure he had a really great night were his parents Gwen and Leslie Casey from Castleross and his girlfriend Aoife McGinn from Faughart along with a huge collection of family and friends.
I was only in the door when I met up with Jason's mum who wanted a special mention for Jason's granny Noeleen Moore from Toberona who couldn't make it on the night because she was babysitting Jason's baby sister Lisa-Marie.
Next I headed over for a chat with Jason's uncle Patrick Murtagh from Mullabawn who was with his wife Stephanie and they were having a laugh with aunty Jackie and uncle Gerry McArdle from Blackrock who were there with Jason's cousins Chloe and Darren and they were definitely up for making it a real night to remember.
Also in their company were uncle and aunt Fiona and William Casey from Crescent 1, who wanted to wish Jason a very happy birthday and hopes he had a great night.
They were with Phil and Boo Casey from Beechmount Drive, Amanda Quinn from Blackrock and Michael McAleer from Castleross who were having a time of it with Jason's dad Leslie and Tommy O'Hare from Kilcurry who told me it was going to be a sensational night and no mistake.
Next I then got talking to Shauna Casey from Muirhevnamor and Leanne Gogarty from Muirhevnamor who told me they are good mates of Jason and were going to make the best of the festivities.
I then headed over for a word with Olive Mackin from Kilcurry who was chatting to Padraig O'Rourke from Philip Street and they wanted to wish Jason all the best on his big one.
After this I got a word with Stephen Hearty from Beechmount Drive who told me he had worked with him in Tony Kieran's and he was a really lovely chap.
He was having a laugh with Ann and Kevin O'Connor from Crossmaglen who are family friends.
Making my way over to another table I then got talking to Niall Martin from Forkhill who was with Aine Smyth from Knockbridge and Aileen McGinn from Faughart with her husband Paddy who told me that their daughter Aoife is going out with Jason and they wanted to wish him a very happy 21st.
Not too long later I got a word with Rachel Mulligan from Tateetra, Alannah Gray from The Quay, Kate McKevitt from Belfry Drive who told me they are all mates of Aoife and were really looking forward to a mental night for sure.
After this I got a word with Carmel Gill from Woodville Manor who had just called up to see Jason and wish him all the best on his big day.
Finally, before we departed I met up with Annette Quigley who was with her husband Ian and Pauline McGuinness and husband Tommy also from Mountpleasant whom when I asked were they at the party said 'Jason who?', but did want to wish him all the best on his big night anyway!
