Festive fun at St. Oliver's

MEMBERS OF the Dundalk Order of Malta recently paid their annual visit to the residents of St. Oliver Plunkett hospital with Santa and distributed presents to all the residents.

The members were joined by the new officer charge, Catriona Clarke, who took over the unit October.

This year is the 60th time that the Dundalk order of Malta has visited the hospital at Christmas time,' explained PRO David Caldwell.

'In 2012, we added a bit extra by getting the McCollum brothers to come along and play some Christmas songs while Santa and his helpers where doing there rounds and distributing the presents the lads where joined in song by one resident who sang a song about his home county of Mayo.

'We also included four members of our cadet unit who dressed up as elves and helped Santa with his duties!'

The order of Malta would like to thank Shane and Roddy McCollum who gave up there time for free to play for the residents. in in
