The recipients of the €30,000 charitable donations were: The Birches, North Louth Hospice, North Louth Children's Hospice, Simon Community, St. Brigids Special School and Turas Counselling Service.

Speaking at the cheque presentation last month, Aidan Crowe, Operations Director, for the Dundalk Brewery paid tribute to all of the staff at the Harp Brewery who took part in fundraising and volunteering for local groups over the years.

'The philanthropic contribution of the staff at the Harp Brewery over the years has been outstanding and their record of making a positive difference in the community is something to be extremely proud of. Diageo has been especially happy to have been able to help support these local charities and groups in County Louth over the years.

Since 2011, Diageo has donated over €90,000 to local organisations in Louth through a variety of programmes.
