THE Christmas Eve pier to pier swim in Carlingford takes place on Tuesday, December 24, at 2.45 pm from King John's Pier.
The organisers are hoping to make this the biggest swim ever and are aiming to get 50 swimmers.
Safety boats and Red Cross will be on site. The swim finishes at at Sailing Club with hot showers, soup, and Yuletide cheer. Wetsuits optional.

The Louth Ladies are holding their annual Club All Star Presentation Night in the O'Connells Clubrooms, Castlebellingham on Saturday, December 14, at 8 p.m.
There will be a buffet, a DJ & an award presentation. The all star teams in each division will be announced with three people being nominated in each position. Tickets are €10 each. A county board official will be selling tickets this Monday 9th in the Blues Clubrooms from 7-8pm.
