FOR THE seventh year running, the brave, the bold, and the barmy will take the plunge into Carlingford Lough for the annual Christmas Eve Charity Swim.
All swimmers are asked to assemble on King John's Pier by 9.45 a.m. Christmas Eve.
Wetsuits are optional but highly recommended for the short paddle to the other side of the harbour where the brave swimmers will be met by a cheering crowd and warming libations.
The Carlingford Sailing Club will provide safety boats for the event and hot showers will be available at the club for all participants. The Carlingford Branch of the Irish Red Cross will also be present.
After the swim there will be hot soup, craic and plenty of festivity in the Carlingford Sailing Club. Come out to support the swimmers and get into the Christmas spirit.
There will be a bucket collection on the day and all proceeds go to the Carlingford Day Centre. For more information contact 0863983403.
