Haynestown teacher Karen Halpenny was one of the many Irish runners who completed the London marathon under clear blue skies on Sunday. Karen, a past-pupil of St Louis Secondary School, has been living in London for over ten years.
She trained at St Mary's Strawberry Hill and is a P.E teacher in a school in Wimbleton.
Running in aid of the MAG children's charity, she completed the course in four hours and seven minutes, cheered on by her parents Peter and Audray who travelled over for the event, and her boyfriend Ben Blake.
