THE acclaimed Dundalk fiddle player Zoe Conway is a guest musician for a concert taking place in An Grianán, Termonfeckin this Wednesday night (July 6) as part of TAn Chúirt Chruitireachta – International Festival of Irish Harp.
Zoe will be joining the Drogheda Singers and harpist Michelle Mulcahy for a concert entitled Dynamic Duo at 8 p.m. The highlight of the week will be a Gala Concert on Thursday evening featuring Tríona Marshall on harp and members of The Chieftains Paddy Moloney, Kevin Conneff and Seán Keane. Tickets are €15 for adults, €12 for students and OAPs or €60 for all five concerts.
Local harpist Dearbhal Finnegan, who is part of the organising committee, said: 'This really is such a special event, the highpoint of the year for the amazing global community of harpists. It is also an essential event to support and encourage the next generation of harpists. We are so lucky, year after year, to stage this event here in County Louth and if you've never been to the International Harp Festival at An Grianán I urge you to go along this year.'
