It's summer again, a time when many people have visitors home for the holidays, so what better way to entertain them than to take them to the Seisuin at the Oriel Centre in Dundalk's Old Gaol for an exhiliarating performance of traditional Irish music song and dance?

The show takes place every Tuesday and Thursday night, throughout the summer season. The location of these performances has provided the inspiration for the show's theme – 'A Brief History of Ireland'.

The show's producer, Kay Webster, who is also manager of the Oriel Centre, has drawn together a remarkably talented group of musicians and dancers who set a high standard for traditional music entertainment. Many of the group members are numerous All Ireland medal holders in solo and group performance - Kay herself, Padraig Donlon, Fionnuala Donlon, Stephen McMahon, Lorraine and Paul McMahon; with All-Ireland and World champion dancers from the Mona Roddy School, ,Eoghan Murphy, Roisín McManus, and Alanna Murray, adding to the impressive line up.

So come and engage with this unique cultural experience and afterwards, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with local breads, followed by an informal session with an opportunity for audience members to perform with a poem, a story, a song, a dance or a tune.

Performers are Padraig Donlon (uileann pipes/whistle); Fionnuala Donlon abd Deirdre Ni Bhuachalla (harp); Lorraine McMahon and Noreen McManus (fiddle); Bee Malone (mandolin); Paul McMahon ( guitar and piano accordeon); Stephen McManus (concertina / dancer); Eoghan Murphy an Roisín McManus (dancers / fiddle); Alanna Murray ( dancer); Sean O Riodain (singer); Paul McArdle (storytelling); Kay Webster ( flute/whistle/singer & show producer).
