Vintage day in store for all in Knockbridge

The annual Knockbridge Vintage Day and Working Rally takes place on this Sunday and promises to be a fun day out for all the family.

The annual Knockbridge Vintage Day and Working Rally takes place on this Sunday and promises to be a fun day out for all the family.

The show commences at 1 p.m. with ample parking available close by.

The list of highlights on the day is endless and indeed all ages will be catered for and a very enjoyable day out is guaranteed.

There will be an extensive display of vintage tractors, cars and bicycles in the field as well as vintage threshing and a working area which will include binders, reapers and vintage combines to name but a few for all the machinery enthusiasts.

Sheep racing will be one of the many attractions on the day following its tremendous success over the past few years.

There are several other exciting attractions including a Tug of War competition between the local men and ladies, a vintage army display and a Dog Show which always attracts a large number of entrants.

Numerous demonstrations will take place throughout the day such as cookery, flower arranging, art and crafts and much much more.

The Knockbridge Vintage Club are very excited about hosting another Vintage Fashion Show which will feature some fabulous vintage pieces which local people have kindly donated for modelling.

This promises to be a fantastic event and with many familiar faces modelling a wonderful array of colours and styles in outfits and hats it is definitely not to be missed.

Knockbridge's Got Talent is making a welcome return this year with lots of brilliant prizes up for grabs! If you can sing, dance, are a member of a band, group, a magician, impressionist or can entertain in any way then this is the competition for you.

Knockbridge's Got Talent is open to all, regardless of level of ability, age or where you're from. The only requirement is that you register! Registration for the competition is free.

Children will be catered for in the fun corner with amusements including bouncing castles, slides, sing-along hop-on hop-off, face painting, nail art, puppet show, an animal farm and many more novelty events. All proceeds raised on the day will be donated to local charities.
