Treat for music fans at Oriel Live

THERE'S good news for music lovers watching their purse strings as the organisers of the Oriel Live concert which takes place in the Oriel Active Centre, Oriel Park on August 24, have announced that tickets for the concert are just €20 with a special €10 for children under 16, are accompanied by an adult.

There's good news for music lovers watching their purse strings as the organisers of the Oriel Live concert which takes place in the Oriel Active Centre, Oriel Park on August 24, have announced that tickets for the concert are just €20 with a special €10 for children under 16, are accompanied by an adult.

A limited VIP package priced at €40 which includes a glass of champagne on arrival, free buffet until 8 p.m., and access to private bar with balcony view of the concert is also available.

Dundalk band The Trampz have been added to the strong line-up which includes The Original Rudeboys, Bressie, Bob Marley's Natty Wailer with The Reggae Vibe, Shadowplay, Dirty Epics, The Flaws, Ben Reel, The Enemies, Third Smoke and many more.

A host of Dundalk DJs will also play over the two stages and two rooms. Magicians will roam the three bars for your entertainment and a gourmet food court will be in place for your nourishment.

The chairman of Dundalk Town Council Cllr Eamonn O'Boyle said: 'It's great to see an exciting event like this taking place in the town, giving something for young people and visitors alike to look forward to.'

He said he hoped to see more cultural and musical events like this taking place.

Doors open at 4.30 p.m. and, for early birds, 3 cocktails are €10 before 7 p.m.

ID will be required for purchases at the bars. All ticket prices include booking.
