Musical society showcasing best of Lloyd Webber

Dundalk Musical Society are again preparing to take to the stage, this time with 'An Evening of Lloyd Webber and Friends'.

The show will feature an array of wonderful songs and music written by the maestro himself who, this year, celebrates 40 years of West End success

The show will feature numbers from some of Lloyd Webber's most-loved shows, including Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Whistle Down the Wind and Sunset Boulevard, with a special appearance by the wonderful cast of last October's hit 'The Sound Of Music'.

The show was re-launched by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 2006 after his hugely successful search for Maria, in the hit TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?

This cabaret style concert will also feature songs from much loved musicals such as Oklahoma, Calamity Jane, Showboat, South Pacific, High Society, The Lion King and Les Miserables, guaranteeing something to suit everyone's musical theatre taste.

The show will take place on Friday, May 3,, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 8 p.m.

Tickets, priced at €12, are available from any cast member, The Crowne Plaza, or at the door on the night.
