Save the date for a wonderful family experience on November 29 and 30 and see Dundalk shine at night at the annual Dundalk Festival of Light of Culture.

The event, now in it's third year is getting bigger and better, with entertainment, music, lanterns and lots more. There's the official switch on of the town Christmas lights in addition to street performers, fire eaters, buskers and juggler to add to the festival atmosphere.

Some of the music and performances include Dundalk Brass Band, The Enemies, The Stormers, Singer David Keenan, Youth Groove, Manifesto and many more. A Christmas food & craft market will run all day Friday and Saturday where local crafts people will display their wonderful array of Christmas gifts and food on offer.

A new addition to the festival this year is to see Titan the Robot performance - the 8 foot tall international celebrity robot. Titan has performed his unique show at every kind of event possible and has travelled all around the world in the process. Titan has a huge following on You Tube and there are over a thousand video clips of Titan download by his fans. For more information www.titantherobot.com

For the younger children on the evening, there will be kiddie's fun rides at Earl Street and the Longwalk Shopping Centre. The festival will end with a spectacular fire works display and Santa's explosive arrival at the Marshes Shopping Centre on the Saturday from 5.30pm. Join Santa, Titan the robot, and host of friends as they transform the Marshes into a winter wonderland.

Not forgetting the same weekend, there's the official opening of Dundalk on Ice and the Guinness World Record attempt Santa Fun Run, truly a wonderful festival. For more information please join and like the Festival's Facebook page www.facebook.com/dundalk-festival-light-culture.
