Booka Brass Band in Store

The Booka Brass Band come to The Spirit Store this Easter Sunday as part of their 'Parish Tour' of small regional venues.

After a hugely busy and successful 2016 with the release of their debut album 'Chilled Milk', along with enjoying their biggest Irish tour to date, once more taking in shows in Vicar Street, Cork Opera House and festivals all over Ireland, the UK and Europe, Booka Brass decided to their unique brand of musical energy to small towns all over Ireland

Formed back in 2012, Booka Brass have continuously been lauded as one of Ireland's top live acts.

With a line-up which includes two trumpets, two trombones, saxophone, sousaphone and drums theirs is a sound which is very different to everything else on the Irish music circuit. Their high energy sets include self-penned numbers as well as covers

They have performed at Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions and Longitude, and collaborated with acts like Jerry Fish and Lisa Hannigan, so it's only a matter of time before bigger venues beckon.
