On the first episode of the Punter's Platform, Johnny Ward is joined by a team of betting experts and tipsters as they look ahead to the hurling championship.

Back Kilkenny in the Championship is the theme as Johnny Ward is joined by Declan Meagher of LearnBetWin.com, Niall Cronin from the Herald, John Brennan of the Sunday World, and Shane Mahon from Ladbrokes to look ahead to the hurling championship.

"It's a cracking bet," said Brennan of Kilkenny winning the All-Ireland at 7/2.

"Kilkenny bet the lard out of Galway in 2012, should have beaten the lard out of them in 2015. There's a reason [Galway] they haven't won the All-Ireland since 1988. They're good one day and bad the next.

"Kilkenny have to win three matches to get to the final and four to win it. Anyone who fancies a gamble, 7/2 for Kilkenny, in what is effectively a three horse race between Tipp, Galway or Kilkenny, I don't see anyone else winning that."

The Punter's Platform is in association with Ladbrokes and please gamble responsibly.
