Lewis Hamilton v Fernando Alonso The former McLaren drivers built up an uneasy alliance during the 2007 season, as both vied to be the team's Number 1. The Spaniard was visibly unnerved as Hamilton gradually stole the limelight, and a number of misdemeanors - particularly during the Belgian and Hungarian Grand Prix - added to the fractious nature of the relationship. Kimi Raikkonen beat them both to the championship, and upon Alonso's Ferrari switch the Englishman said: 'Alonso showed me just how not to behave as an F1 driver'. (AP/AP)

The LA Lakers colleagues have not been afraid to criticise each other in the press. After losing to Orlando Magic in December, Bryant (left) told his adversary to 'put on his big boy pants' in response to a poor performance. He also disapproved of the Spaniard's behaviour after sustaining an injury. 'I was a little angry with him the other day because he's coming to practice and coming to the games. Stay home. Cut all the lights off. Just rest. Let your brain rest. But he wants to be around [the team]. That's the type of teammate he is,' the American lambasted.
