Niamh Greene: Our family day out at the beach ruined by rubbish and lager louts
Like thousands of mums all over the country, I took my children to the beach last weekend.
They were so excited -- trips to the seaside when the sun is shining are usually few and far between. They're far more used to putting on their wellies and windcheaters and walking the strand in driving wind and rain.
Spirits were high as we pulled up in the car, found a scarce-as-hens'-teeth parking spot and lugged everything we were going to need down to the sand for a picnic, a swim and an old-fashioned family day out.
