If you believe the conventional wisdom, the entire human race can be neatly divided into two significant groups - cat people and dog people.

Because these days, our lives have no greater meaning or complexity than the sum of our YouTube viewing habits, apparently.

But then, in among the cat people and the dog people, are a renegade group of hard-line fundamentalists. Those of us who hate cats with white-hot, epic, life-sustaining fury. The kind of hate that Joan Crawford and Bette Davis mutually chewed on for all the decades of their infamous feud. The hate that kept the Jets at war with the Sharks until it all ended badly, in a pool of blood and a pile of leather jackets.
