Words of wisdom for Enda Kenny

Sir -- As we cross the threshold of another mysterious abyss, commonly known as a New Year, I can't help but agree with the sentiments of Jody Corcoran in his wonderful article headed 'Very few stars on our horizon' published in the Sunday Independent December 25, 2011.
When Jody said "this Christmas Enda Kenny is readying himself to barter away what remains of our economic freedom in return for all he can get, a more equitable spread of the debts of the banks of Europe, not just the citizens of Ireland, but also those of Europe", we are reminded of broken promises laced with untruths which have been continually dished out to us since and before he became Taoiseach.
I would like to remind Enda Kenny of the poignant words spoken long ago by the great Ralph Waldo Emerson, to allow the Taoiseach to ponder a little before he continues to sell the soul of this country, resulting in far too much pain, suffering and suicide: "Every violation of truth is not only a sort of suicide in the liar, but is a stab at the health of human society."
