We simply can't afford luxury of Presidency

THE Presidency and its ancillary services are luxuries the impoverished Irish populace can no longer afford.
In the prevailing financial climate, it is the immediate duty of a responsible government to hastily introduce whatever necessary legislation is required to combine the role of Taoiseach and President, thereby eliminating the holding of a presidential election later this year.
