We should follow Iceland's lead

Isn't it very interesting that the sky hasn't fallen in on Iceland, after the people rejected being put into penury for a generation to pay for the mistakes of bankers?
The government loyally followed standard operational procedure in a modern democracy, and dutifully threatened the people with the International Monetary Fund.
They were told the international bond holders, in this case the British and Dutch governments, would make sure they would find it hard to borrow, and that they might not be allowed to join the EU.
