We march only if others affected
I AGREE wholeheartedly with what Sean McGovern said (Letters, April 7) in response to Tom Butler (Letters, April 4) about us preferring to moan rather than seek change about the current state of our country.
Further, I would like to ask, how come 80,000 Irish people marched in protest against the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 (a foreign country invading another foreign country) but on hearing the shocking news last Tuesday that our Government is gambling our children's futures away, what do we do?
We ring up phone-in shows and bawl about how bad everything is. What has become of us?
