We have little choice but to stick to bailout

I am writing in relation to your recent article regarding Ireland's economic status and whether or not we should cut ties with the International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank regarding bailout funding.
Your article said welfare benefits, child benefit and civil servants' salaries, would be slashed by one third if we were to go this route.
This is distressing gloom and doom. It is speculation. It will worry readers of your paper and older people who are finding terror in trusting banks, thus causing more distrust. It also paints a picture similar to the 1920s, where many died of starvation.
