Visual delights of a derailed city centre

Before most tourists get as far as the littered countryside they will have their first taste of Ireland when they feast their eyes on the delights of Dublin's city centre.
They include a variety of bizarre sideshows which my wife and I encountered after we got off the DART at Connolly station and made our way down to the tram.
The Luas ticket machine was, as always, surrounded by spaced-out beggars who insist on "helping" to work the dispenser. There were about eight or nine others shouting and fighting in the public space behind the Luas buffers.
