Value for aid

•A recent letter (August 31) from RN Moore stated that "charities are financially and morally obligated to get the best value they can to feed the starving". I very much agree with this statement and pursue a business-orientated vision with Haven, an Irish NGO I set up in 2008, working in Haiti to build sustainable communities.
A prime example of this is our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Together we are utilising our skill-base to provide homes to families in Haiti.
Haven will be managing the logistical end of the partnership including the construction of houses, setting up sites and providing logistics necessary for a total of 700 volunteers to assist with the house-building, while Habitat for Humanity will provide community development, house design and further construction to the project.
