The Master of the National Maternity Hospital says: "The nuns do not want to run this hospital."

Isn't it time we had a clear, formal statement from the nuns themselves, and from the chairman of the board of the National Maternity Hospital, the Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin, as to what exactly their motives and intentions are?

The Sisters of Charity will lose the use of the hospital site so I can't see any reason to retain ownership of it, other than to retain some degree of long-term control of the activities there.
