Turn our water supply into an asset, not just another easy tax

There is an old saying, "Water, water everywhere nor any drop to drink". It's very apt in this country where we have torrential rain throughout at least half of the year and are also surrounded by water.

Now the Government is bringing in water charges, something which strikes horror into ordinary people already struggling to make ends meet.

On top of this I hear we don't have any companies in Ireland that can cope with the rate of meter installation required and that the job will probably be outsourced to another country -- this is disgraceful.
