True cost of the OPW's Trim bus

FURTHER to your article by Michael Brennan (Irish Independent, May 18) about the cost of bussing OPW workers to the new headquarters in Trim, I feel the true cost has not yet been revealed.

I am sure the employees involved are paid overtime for the two-hour daily commute, plus a lunch expense for being away from their designated workplace.

Taking the total of 16 people plus driver for 20 working days per month, this adds up to 170 hours paid at time-and-a-half, which equals 255 hours per week or 1,022 per month.
