I'm ashamed to be Irish. I am livid that those of us who live in our debacle of woe have ourselves involuntarily associated with CIE and Irish Rail.
The announcement by the company that it plans to close the Wexford branch proves that there is not a soul in Irish Rail with any sense of principle, simple economics or general cop-on at all.
The Wexford branch, the Nenagh branch and Limerick Junction-Waterford are the three lines the company would like to see closed. Why?
