Time for judiciary to take wage cut

Now that it appears we will have a referendum on the rights of children, can we, at the same time, give the citizens of this country a chance to decide if members of the judiciary have a constitutional right not to have their salary reduced.

I would suggest the following wording: "Do you agree that, in times of serious financial problems in the economy, the judiciary accept pay reductions in the same manner as everyone else in Irish society?"

Or perhaps our politicians have accepted that we ordinary mortals are doing enough for the economy to pay their lavish salaries and pensions?
