The people have spoken on abortion issue

DAVID Quinn's article in Friday's Irish Independent depressed me deeply.
I had hoped that the debate in Ireland had become less entrenched and reflected more compassionately the complexities around women who require abortions. Ditto same-sex marriage.
Mr Quinn unfairly cites the Labour Party as the driving force behind a wish to legislate for the 'X' case. It is the Irish people who have expressed this wish.
