I'm currently in my Leaving Certificate year, studying hard to achieve good grades in the 2012 exams. But I, like many other young people, am going to have to accept that I have become one of the "forgotten" ones.
As my parents earn slightly too much money, I won't be entitled to a grant for college, and as there are no proper student loan facilities in Ireland, I have to face a fact that is hard for me to accept: I possibly won't be going to college next year.
I can try all I want to seek employment (yeah right!) or maybe, in the long run, I can emigrate. But in the meantime, I'm just going to sit at home and remember that the youth in this country no longer matter.
