Terminal 2 bus stop defies logic

I RECENTLY landed at Terminal 2 in Dublin airport. I was impressed with the layout, cleanliness and staff friendliness. However, to my dismay a DAA staff member informed me that I had to walk to the coach pick-up point beside Terminal 1.
Myself and other passengers trudged 700 metres traversing two pedestrian crossings on the busy roadways. The courteous bus driver informed me the bus stops outside Terminal 2 are only for passenger drop-off and not collections, even for DAA buses and worse again even for wheelchair passengers who have to negotiate the trek to Terminal 1 for the coach.
This defies all logic, especially as there is a busy taxi pick-up point alongside the oft idle coach stops at Terminal 2.
