TD insults Moriarty with use of 'mister'

I notice that Mr Lowry and Mr O'Brien have consistently referred to Mr Justice Michael Moriarty as "Mr Moriarty" or "Michael Moriarty" in all of their public statements on the recent tribunal report.

Mr Lowry referred to him in this way some 17 times in his Dail speech on Tuesday. This deliberate omission of Mr Justice Moriarty's correct title is clearly an attempt to somehow suggest that he is not worthy of the title, and serves to denigrate both the justice system and a respected public servant. When Mr Lowry meets a priest, a nun, a garda or a doctor in Tipperary North, does he address them as 'mister' or 'miss'? I sincerely doubt it, as this would rightly be seen as an insult.
