Sir - We didn't win the Eurovision Song Contest. So what? Yes, it would have been nice to have won. It's always nice to win. But one can't win every time.

What has happened to the concept that trying, taking an active and contributing part, participating, playing and performing is the most important part? Winning is worked at and for.

And what has happened to being a gracious loser?
