System rewards ongoing stupidity

Tanaiste Mary Coughlan's planned reinvention of FAS is yet another example of the Government's obsession with scrapping organisations that are generally functioning well, and replacing them with another organisation that is supposedly improving things for the end user but is in reality unable to carry out functions as well as the old organisation did.

The Government told us things were going to get better, but all that has improved is the salaries of the managers at these quangos -- and the revenue for rebranding agencies.

The political system in this country rewards the stupidity of the elite and punishes the enterprise of the worker.
